Slews Lightning Boo instills a heart bigger than itself. Regardless of the situation at hand, her owner, Haydn Morsa, can guarantee that this athlete will give her 110%, always. Boo has accumulated an archive of accomplishments that are simply breathtaking. The sky was the limit for this mare. From consistent mid 17s on a standard course, to placing in the top of some of the biggest races on the West Coast, her talent matched her heart. However, Boo's story is no fairytale. Giving her all was no easy task, but she knew nothing less than 110%. Regardless of a multitude of injuries preventing most horses from giving their all, this competitor continued to
run with everything she had; her neck stretched out, legs driving and always pulling to full extension, with her very own signature ears back, and nose wrinkled expression. Her body was failing as a result of so many years of fighting through pain. Her owner full heartedly believes that is the downside of the gritty horses. And I quote, “They'll try so hard until they have nothing left of their bodies at all.” Although this athlete’s career was cut far too short, she is now carrying on the legacy her owner has dreamt of for the past 15 years through the wonder of her first foal. On April 9th, 2019, Lightning struck once again with a name that will strike history.
