The Horse With The Most Heart Award was one of the ways that Emily and Regan wanted to incorporate Danika's, and all those living with cystic fibrosis' heart, fight, dedication, and character into this production.

Just Breathe and Run was inspired by Danika Davis. Danika was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at six weeks old. She shows heart, love and dedication in everything she pursues in life. She simply loves life itself. Those with cystic fibrosis fight so hard to take a breath; to simply live.
Cystic Fibrosis patients live their entire lives fighting. They have so much heart for life, for love, for happiness and joy. They live their lives fighting so hard to maybe have a chance to see what it is like to live the life that we are privileged with.
The Horse With The Most Heart Award was one of the ways that Emily and Regan wanted to incorporate Danika's, and all those living with Cystic Fibrosis' heart, fight, dedication, and character into this production.
The first step is to nominate the horse that you believe has the "most heart". All horses are eligible. The only requirement is that either the horse, owner, or both is competed at Just Breathe and Run the year it is nominated. On the application, you are to simply explain why you believe that the horse is deserving of this award. The more details the better!
After you submit the application you will receive an email from Just Breathe and Run (to the email provided on the application) shortly after submitting the horse. In this email, we will ask for an image of the horse. This year we have added this option to allow a video in addition to the picture, and application. This being said, those who may not be as gifted in writing still have a fair chance of this award. You can be as creative as you would like on how you would like to create your video and application. The video is completely optional, but a choice. You can simply talk about why you believe the horse should win (explain the horses story), create a music video, show a run, etc. etc. etc. Anything you may choose! If you need help sending the video, we will be happy to assist you.
